We are in a Barbie Era, y'all! We the people have seen the Barbie Movie & we’ve decided the fully-pink obssession, Barbiecore, is the hottest trend! Hesitant at first, more & more people are finally fessing up to our gravitation towards the bold & fun color that is pink.

Growing up, many of us remember easily professing our steadfast love for the color. We wanted matching pink tops & shorts, we wanted our back-to-school, school supplies to be pink…meeting a new classmate? Okay, potential BFF, first question. What's your favorite color? Duh, it's pink!

There came a time for most of us, we felt that we needed to start favoring a new color. Maybe we thought we needed a more mature color preference? A color that wasn’t too risky, one that helped us blend in? Was the color pink deemed ‘too girly’ and that wasn’t something we wanted to be anymore?

TBH I am not sure, but I think from our response to the Barbie movie & revival of our beloved color pink means we are craving more fun & levity in our daily lives. We’re wearing pink & to our surprise, we are feelin’ hella pre-Covid cute & dare I say, even sexy!

The world was ready for a progressive, femme-forward movie like Barbie and I think the world also decided to take the power of pink back for good!
